PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where an image carrier unit is constituted by rotatably assembling an image carrier in a unit holder and the image carrier unit is attachably/detachably attached to an image forming device main body and then an electrostatic latent image is formed on the surface of the image carrier by making a laser beam incident from an aperture part formed on the unit holder, and which can prevent external light from entering from the aperture part formed on the unit holder when the image carrier unit is taken out to the outside of the image forming device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a shutter 84 closing the aperture part 53 formed on the unit holder 40 when the image carrier unit 41 is pulled out to the outside of the image forming device main body. Thus, the light is prevented from entering from the aperture part formed on the unit holder 40 when the image carrier unit 41 is pulled out, and the deterioration of the image carrier is prevented.
