PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide telephone line terminal equipment where it is not necessary to reset picture quality at every communication destination and the operability for a user is considerably satisfactory since the picture quality of a video signal is automatically set to a picture quality setting value which is previously set at every communication destination telephone number. SOLUTION: When a telephone number which a user tries to call is matched with a call destination telephone number stored in a memory 13, a comparison part 14 calls a picture quality setting value corresponding to the telephone number in the memory 13 by a control part 11 which transmits the picture quality setting value to a picture quality control part 12. The picture quality control part 12 controls a CODEC part 13 so that it becomes the picture quality of 'the number of picture elements' and 'the number of frames', which are previously decided, in accordance with the picture quality setting value. The CODEC part 13 executes a CODEC processing following the control and the video signal of picture quality which is set is obtained. |
