PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure of a magnet/yoke assembly which prevents the vibration of a magnetic head and a magnetic disc as caused by the magnet/yoke assembly being vibrated receiving a drive reaction of a carriage while being made free from temperature. SOLUTION: In a magnetic disc device which is provided with a magnetic circuit to position a magnetic head by applying a drive force to a carriage for holding the magnetic head, the magnetic circuit is constituted of a drive coil 9 fastened on the carriage 7 and a magnet/yoke assembly 8, which 8 is supported on a housing at one point thereof while being rotatably supported in the direction of the surface of a magnetic disc. The assembly is rotatably supported on a bearing 14 to achieve a higher support rigidity in the axial direction of the bearing by applying an initial displacement to the bearing. A slide guide 16 provided on a base 10 allows the magnet/yoke assembly 8D to rotate at a low friction while applying the initial displacement to the bearing. The assembly 8 is provided with a viscoelastic member 17 to regulate rotation.
