摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion correction type conversion circuit which converts the number of frames of image signals with reduced deterioration of picture quality. SOLUTION: A motion vector PV is generated for every pixel at a motion vector generation part 3 based on an input image signal S2 which is converted with progressive scanning at an IP conversion part and an input image signal S3 which is delayed at a delay part and preceding by one frame. An interpolation frame SMC is generated at a motion correction interpolation frame generation part based on the motion vector PV. The signal S2 and the frame SMC are selectively outputted by means of a buffer memory to obtain an image signal whose number of frames is increased. The part 3 includes a re-searching part 33, a singular vector correcting/smoothing part 34 and a mini-block division searching part 35 in addition to a static/dynamic block discrimination part 31 and a representative vector setting part 32 to evade the wrong setting of the motion vector in every image block.</p>
