PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely secure fixing ability even under the adverse condition such as low temperature by switching a set mode in which image reading operation is performed simultaneously with printing operation and a set mode in which the printing operation is performed after the image reading operation. SOLUTION: The set mode (ordinary mode) in which the printing operation is performed while the image reading operation is performed and the set mode (reading-ahead processing mode) in which the printing operation is performed after the image reading operation is finished are switched by setting. When the reading-ahead processing mode is not designated, only one heater (sub heater) is lit. When the reading-ahead processing mode is set, two heaters are lit at the same time, so that the quantity of heat given to paper is increased. Since fixing temperature does not get low in the reading-ahead processing mode, the sure fixing capacity is secured even when the paper is cardboard other than plain paper. |
