PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spread spectrum signal processing unit that is suitable for communication through the use of an analog correlation device of a size mountable on a portable terminal, when spread spectrum communication employs a long spread code. SOLUTION: This spread spectrum signal processing unit is provided with a correlation device 10, that takes correlation between a spread signal that is spread-spectrum processed and a given reference signal, an A/D converter 30 that applies digital conversion to the spread signal with a sampling frequency Fs1, a memory 40 that stores a digital signal from the A/D converter 30 as digital data, a D/A converter 50 that applies analog conversion to the digital data stored in the memory 40 with a sampling frequency Fs2 higher than the sampling frequency Fs1, a timing controller 50 that controls the analog conversion start timing of the D/A converter 50, and a controller 70 that gives a spread code X to the correlation device 10 as a reference signal, with a length in response to a compression rate of a compressed spread signal. |
