PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the transmission time of image data to be transmitted to a printer. SOLUTION: A printer 20 includes an expansion circuit 22. Compressed image data is given to the printer 20 through an input terminal 25. The compressed image data is once stored in an input buffer memory 21, is given to the circuit 22 and is subjected to data expansion. The expanded image data is printed on print paper by such a manner that it is converted into RGB data and given to a print printing part 24.
