PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output high-lightness characters of white, yellow, etc., in a background of low lightness on a monitor screen onto a form. SOLUTION: When data are converted into output data matching an image output part 7, the attributes of respective pieces of character data after being mapped to the color reproduction range of the image output part 7 are decided and the difference in lightness between character data as an output value transferred actually to a printer and the background part of the character data is calculated; when the calculated value is less than a specific value, the lightness of the character data is varied and the data is transferred to the image output part 7. |
