PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level superior in practicality and workability capable of exhibiting left, right and center line positions by simply mounting on a pipe material by making a recess extending in the breadthwise direction and opening to the opposite side faces of a case in a reference face and disposing a measuring part at the left/right center line position of the recess. SOLUTION: The level 31 has a horizontalness measuring section 2, and a reference face 4 on the bottom of a case 1 abutting against a measuring face 3. A recess 5 extending in the breadthwise direction and opening to the opposite side faces of the case 1 I made in the reference face 4 and a measuring part 2 is disposed at the left/ right center line positions thereof. A bubble tube 2 having a bubble 8 in he water is employed as the measuring section 2 and a reference part 6 indicating the central position of the bubble 8 is disposed at the left/right object positions of the recess 5. Gradations 7 are provided at a specified interval (e.g. 1 mm unit) on the left and right of the reference part 6. The recess 5 of the level 31 is fitted over a tube material 32 and made to finely move along the outer circumferential surface thereof. When the bubble 8 in the bubble tube 2 is brought into a state indicating horizontal reference face 4, the bubble 8 is located at the left/right center line position of the tube material 32.
