PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio device for an automatic effective demonstration under a condition where AC power is turned on and off with a circuit breaker everyday at a store eliminating the need of turning on and off a power switch. SOLUTION: The AC power of this audio device is turned on and a microcomputer undergoes a reset process. When a prescribed time has passed and the demonstration is not prohibited (Step 5), if the audio device is in the power-off state (Step 10), a demonstration in the first function display state including the function display of a central controller and LEDs start (Step 11). If the audio device is in the power-on state, a demonstration in the restrained second function display with limited function display of the central controller and the LEDs start (Step 12). These demonstrations stop when a demonstration prohibiting operation or a function operation is conducted. When the audio device enters a demonstration prohibiting state (Step 6), the audio device waits for the power-on state (Step 7), and starts a corresponding operation when any operation key is depressed (Step 8).
