摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a measurement mechanism, and at the same time rapidly complete the measurement. SOLUTION: A laser beam that is outputted from a light module 2 via a polarization plane maintaining optical fiber 1 is divided into three equal portions by non-polarization beam splitters 6 and 7. Then, each laser beam is applied to polarizers 8, 9, and 10 that are arranged so that the angle of a polarization plane (transmission axis) differs. Photosensors 11, 12, and 13 detect the quantity of light passed through the polarizers 8, 9, and 10. An arithmetic unit 15 calculates an extinction ratio based on each quantity of transmission light.
