<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable input system by improving the recognition rate of handwriting characters, input speed and usability. SOLUTION: A data browsing mode for displaying data on a touch panel 2 and a data input mode for inputting the data of characters or graphics from the touch panel 2 are provided so as to be selected. When the data input mode is set, a data input area 2B is secured at one part on the touch panel 2 and a data display area 2A is secured at the remaining part, respectively. Besides, a changeover switch 10 dedicated to allow handwriting input in the data display area 2A is provided. When the changeover switch 10 is operated in the state of setting the data input mode, corresponding to this operation, the data display area 2A is expanded more than a state before the operation of the changeover switch 10 and this expanded data display area 2A is served both as an area for data display and handwriting input so that handwriting input is enabled in this common area.</p> |
