PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing structure of a wedge to a slot for a stator core, in which the wedge can be fixed easily and surely, even without using a heat source, a knife or the like. SOLUTION: A coil 3 is inserted into a slot 41 in a stator core 4 for a motor. A sheet of insulating paper 1a, a sheet of insulating paper 1b and a sheet of insulating paper 1c are wound around the coil. A wedge 2 inserted into the slot 41, and thereby, the coil 3 is fixed. Parts which protrude from the slot 41 in the upper end and the lower end of the sheet of insulating paper 1a are turned up. Turned-up parts 50 are situated on both the upper and lower end faces of the wedge 2. Thereby, the wedge 2 is positioned and fixed.
