PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and small-sized variable optical path delaying device. SOLUTION: This delaying device is constituted of a rotary disk part 3 rotating around a central axis, a spiral slope reflection mirror 1 formed on the rotary disk part 3 and a vertical reflection flat mirror 2 reversing an advance direction of a beam reflected by the spiral slope reflection mirror 1. It has a structure scanning a length of an optical path that an incident beam passes till it is returned again, and it is combined with an interferometer to be used for a Fourier transform spectroscopic interferometer and an autocollimator, etc. The optical path length scan speed is fixed to a high speed, and its inexpensiveness and miniaturization are made possible while keeping high resolution.
