PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mount an object to be measured by providing a placement part for placing the object to be measured at a stage at a position that differs from a specific measurement position and further providing an elevation means for carrying the stage where the object to be measured is mounted at the mounting part. SOLUTION: A hydraulic cylinder 110 is driven and a lift stand 108 is set to a position closest to a floor surface. With this operation, a lens l of the object to be measured is easily placed at a stage 104 in a reasonable attitude. Then, the hydraulic cylinder 110 is driven and the stand 108 is raised along a guide 109. When three positioning blocks touch a mechanical stopper for upper end being provided at the upper end of a base 101, the cylinder 110 stops at the uppermost end position of the stand 108. At the same time, a pivot block 111 is connected to a hook 112 to verify the alignment of a horizontal guide 103. The alignment is made by a sensor for detecting upper end position and a sensor for detecting horizontal position for vertical and horizontal directions, respectively. A pneumatic cylinder 105 is driven and the stage 104 is moved to the position of a measurement means 102.
