POWER SOURCE SUPPLYING APPARATUS OF ROTARY ENCODER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source supplying apparatus of a rotary encoder which can measure on the side of a d.c. power source apparatus a voltage drop of one of a positive and a negative side source lines which supply a d.c. power source to the rotary encoder from the d.c. power source apparatus. SOLUTION: The d.c. power source apparatus 4 is provided with a positive and a negative side source supply terminals Tp and Tn for supplying a d.c. source voltage via a positive and a negative side source lines 24 and 25 to between a positive and a negative side source terminals tp and tn of a rotary encoder 10. Moreover, the d.c. power source apparatus 4 is provided with a negative side detection terminal Tdn which is connected to the negative side source terminal tn of the rotary encoder 10 via a negative side detection line 27. A resistor 28 of a large resistance value is connected between the positive side source supply terminal Tp and negative side detection terminal Tdn. A voltage between the positive side source feed terminal Tp and negative side detection terminal Tdn is measured by a voltage-measuring device 29. The measured voltage indicates a voltage drop by a d.c. resistance component of the negative side source line 25.
