PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head on whose sliding surface with a recording medium the level difference and the gap of adhered boundaries are hardly generated. SOLUTION: This magnetic head is provided with s second core 21 which is arranged oppositely to a first core 20 and a block 26 which is opposed to the first core 20 across the second core 21 and also which has a notched part 1 at the part opposed to a track 25 and a reinforcing member 28 formed over both sides of the track 25 and the notched part 1 and the reinforcing member 28 is made of glass and in the notched part 1, an angle to be formed by the notched surface 1a of the depth direction of a gap and the track surface 25a is made to be >=1 deg. to <90 deg..
