The material consists of a molded composition made from a homogeneous mixture of at least one transparent or translucent thermosetting resin with a mineral, organic or metal filler. The resin has a surface energy in the range of 30 - 150 mJ/m<2>, with the filler comprising 60 to 85 per cent of the composition's volume and in the form of particles in the size range of 0.5 - 2.5 mm, e.g. of sand, silica, quartz, metal or colored gravel. The composition can also contain organic or mineral pigments in paste, gel or powder form.
