PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve for energy saving operation capable of controlling the moving direction of a piston, feeding the minimum required air for the stroke of the piston to an air cylinder, and stopping the feed of the air more than necessary as one component. SOLUTION: At a position I, a feed port P and an output port A are communicated, an output port B and an exhaust port RB are communicated, an exhaust port RA is closed, and the piston of an air cylinder connected to the ports A.B is started. When the position I is switched to a position II, the communication between the port B and the port RB is continued, the other ports P.A.RA are closed, the feed of air to the air cylinder is stopped, and the piston is moved while being decelerated and is gradually stopped by the expansion of air. Air is switched by the actions of an outside spool and an inside spool.
