PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain good recording and reproducing characteristics even when rewriting is done for a large number of times by recording information on a substrate by changes in the arrangement of atoms caused by irradiation of light and forming at least one interface layer on the interface of the information recording medium. SOLUTION: A first disk member is produced by forming a protective layer 2 on a polycarbonate substrate having tracking grooves on its surface, and then successively forming a recording film 3, interface layer 4, intermediate layer 5, absorption controlling layer 6 and reflection layer 7. In the same way, a second disk member having the same structure as the first disk member is produced by successively forming a protective layer 2', recording film 3', interface layer 4', intermediate layer 5', absorption controlling layer 6' and reflection layer 7' on a polycarbonate substrate 1'. Then the first disk member and the second disk member are laminated with the respective reflection layers 7 and 7' facing each other through an adhesive layer 8 to obtain a disk type information recording medium. |
