PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for reducing a manufacturing time and preventing a dielectric breakdown between the ignition coil and the high-voltage side of the ignition coil or between the ignition coil and the low-voltage side around the ignition coil. SOLUTION: A center core 15, magnets 16 and 17, a secondary spool 20, a secondary coil 21, a primary spool 23, a primary coil 24, and an outer circumferential core 25 are stored in a coil case 11 and a high-voltage tower 12. A boundary between an outer circumferential face of the secondary spool 20 with the secondary coil 21 turned thereon and an outer circumferential face of the secondary spool 20 with a dummy coil 22 turned thereon continues smoothly without an uneven part. In this case, since the secondary coil 21 and the dummy coil 22 are turned continuously without the use of one-line connection, an increase in magnetic field on a high-voltage side at the secondary coil 21 can be prevented. As a result, dielectric breakdown of ignition coil with the high- voltage side of the ignition coil 10 or with the low voltage side around the ignition coil 10 can be prevented, and a prescribed high voltage can be applied to an ignition plug. |
