PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical multiplexing/demultiplexing device which is capable of adequately correcting the misalignment of a central wavelength and multiplexing and demultiplexing wavelength multiplex light even if an array waveguide diffraction grating is used and can be inexpensively manufactured in a good yield. SOLUTION: This optical multiplexing/demultiplexing device has plural first waveguides 3, a first slab waveguide 4, the array waveguide diffraction grating 5 having plural waveguides, a second slab waveguide 6 and plural second waveguides 7. The respectively waveguides are connected and formed in described order. In such a case, the radio of the spacings of the plural first waveguides 3 at the juncture with the first slab waveguide 4 and the spacings of the plural second waveguides 7 in the juncture with the second slab waveguide 6 vary from the ratio of the focal length of the first slab waveguide 4 and the focal length of the second slab waveguide 6.
