PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold drive conditions of a horizontal output transistor included in a horizontal deflection output circuit always excellent. SOLUTION: A parabolic voltage generated in a vertical scanning period by a vertical deflection distortion correcting voltage generating circuit 1 is superposed on a DC voltage for control over a horizontal amplitude by a horizontal amplitude control circuit 2 (called a superposed voltage). This superposed voltage is supplied to a drive control voltage generating circuit 4 as well as to a horizontal deflection output power circuit 13. The horizontal deflection output power circuit 13 supplies the source voltage corresponding to the superposed voltage to a horizontal deflection output circuit 14, and consequently the right and left pincushion distortion of a deflecting yoke coil 10 is corrected. The drive control voltage generating circuit 4, on the other hand, generates the control voltage corresponding to the voltage from a horizontal scanning frequency voltage converting circuit 3 and the superposed voltage and supplies it to a horizontal drive circuit 5. Then the horizontal drive circuit 5 drives the horizontal output transistor 6 according to the control voltage. |
