PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolytic solution for equipping battery with excellent charge-discharge efficiency, load characteristic, and low temperature operating characteristics by suppressing the reductive decomposing reaction of non-aqueous solvent. SOLUTION: A secondary battery is formed with a non-aqueous electrolytic solution using a non-aqueous solvent containing a derivative of polyalkylene glycol expressed by a general formula I, wherein the derivative of polyalkylene glycol gives excellent effect through formation of non-aqueous solvent in cooperation with cyclic and/or chain-form carbonic acid ester. In the formula, R and R' are hydrogen or hydrocarbon radical, A and B are alkylene radical or phenylene radical, j+1 is integer between 1 and 2000, (k) is 0 or 1, (m) is integer between 1 and 10, and (n) is integer between 1 and 4. |
