PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception controlling method capable of surely acquiring the best channel without lowering a call incoming rate and capable of reducing power consumption without lowering the call incoming rate. SOLUTION: When a mobile station is in a waiting state, the receiving level of a channel excepting for the waiting channel is measured in a period excepting for its receiving timing. Concerning a channel whose receiving level is larger than a fixed threshold value among the other measured channels, it is judged whether an effective signal such as system identification information can be received or not within a fixed time after receiving a signal by actually connecting with the channel. Channels whose receiving levels are not lower than the threshold value and which can receive the effective signal such as system identification information are stored in the worsening order of conditions such as a first candidate channel, a second candidate channel and so forth. Then, step-out is generated at the waiting channel, the channel is switched to the first candidate channel of the best condition among usable ones. |
