PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutoff valve quickly closed when exposed to a high- temperature liquid. SOLUTION: A valve action member 63 is fitted to be moved from a first position separated from a valve seat to allow a flow to a second position kept in contact with the valve seat to block the flow. When the temperature of a liquid is lower than the cutoff temperature, a latching mechanism 92 connected to the valve action member 63 holes the valve action member 63 at the first position. A temperature sensitive device 89 is fitted to a valve body, and it has an actuator connected to the latching mechanism 92. The valve body is provided with a chamber including the sensitive portion 87 of the temperature sensitive device 89 and flow opening sections 119, 121 through which the liquid flows when a valve is opened and arranged in contact with the sensitive portion 87. When the temperature of the liquid becomes higher than the cutoff temperature, the latching mechanism 92 is released, and the valve action member 63 is moved to the second position, thereby a susceptible analytical apparatus is protected from being exposed to the high-temperature liquid which may possibly damage the apparatus.
