PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque compensating device provided with a torque compensating cam having a cam-curve suited for actual loaded conditions. SOLUTION: A torque compensating device 2 is provided with a torque compensating cam 11 mounted to an input shaft 4 of a motion conversion device, a cam follower 12 engaging with the torque compensating cam, and an elastic force generating device having a spring member 13 for pressing the cam follower against the torque compensating cam and applying fluctuating load to the input shaft 4 through the torque compensating cam, and is constituted to cancel the fluctuating torque acting on the input shaft 4. The torque compensating cam has a shape canceling the fluctuating torque based on data on torque fluctuation obtained by measuring the input shaft 4.
