PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image defect by cleaning an intermediate transfer body well. SOLUTION: Toner which exists in secondarily transferring residual toner t1 passing through a nip N between the intermediate transfer body 5 and a cleaning bias applying roller 8, whose polarity is positive before passing and the toner whose polarity is changed to be positive by an intermediate transfer body cleaning means 11 are transferred to a photoreceptor drum 1 again from the body 5 through a primarily transferring nip part T1, then are removed by the cleaner of the drum 1. Toner which exists in the toner t1 passing through the nip N and remains negative without being changed to be positive adheres to the roller 8, carried to a cleaning blade 9, and removed by the blade 9. |
