<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need of leaving a right hand or a left hand from the home position of a keyboard by outputting a cursor shift signal in accordance with the output of a sensor detecting the shift of a movable part. SOLUTION: A right hand-side alphanumeric/KANA (Japanese syllabary) key part 8 is kept in the center position of a movable range by springs 12 in a state where force is not applied. When an operator places the four fingers of a right hand in home positions, gives pressure to a degree that the keys are not depressed from above the keys and moves the whole four fingers in parallel to the upper face of a keyboard, the right hand-side alphanumeric/ KANA key part 8 shifts forward/backward/right/left with a supporting member 8a supporting the part 8 by the friction of a key face and the bulb of the operator's finger. The shift is detected by a sensor 10 on a main board 9, the output is converted into a cursor shift signal and is transmitted to a computer main body through a cable. The cursor on a picture shifts in the direction corresponding to the shift of the right hand-side alphanumeric/KANA key part 8.</p> |
