<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety pipe joint which can prevent oil from flowing out when it is separated, and which can prevent the opening degree of a valve element from varying due to the flow of the oil. SOLUTION: A safety pipe joint is composed of a first pipe joint 12 incorporating a valve element 16 urged by a spring 17 so as to be seated on a valve seat 19 and connected to a metering mechanism through an oil feed hose 7a, and a second pipe joint 14 incorporating a valve element 21 urged by a spring 22 so as to be seated on a valve seat 24, and connected to an oil feed nozzle through an oil feed hose 7b. In this pipe joint, both pipe joints 12, 14 are coupled together by a shear pin 29, and the valve elements 16, 21 of the first and second pipe joints are formed on steel balls, and locking tools 18, 23 for holding the valve elements 16, 21 in their open conditions are clamped between joint surfaces 25 of the first and second pipe joints 12, 14.</p> |
