PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make improvements in durability, and to reduce the extent of noises as well. SOLUTION: A number of link plates 2 wherein each pair of tooth parts 21 and pin holes 22 are formed are connected by a rocker joint 3 inserted into each pin hole 22, while each guide link 4 is arranged in the outside of the outermost side link plate 2, thereby constituting a silent chain 1. In this case, each of the guide links 4 is formed into a low rigid guide made up with a notch 41 in the center, while a spring link 5 is arranged in space between these link plates 2 and 2 adjoining each other in the chain cross direction. A supporting seat surface A in the center of this spring link 5 is made contact with a central part of the link plate 2 to be opposed to this seat surface, and another supporting seat surface B at both ends of the spring link 5 is also made contact with these link plates 2 and 2 being opposed to this seat surface and adjoining each other in the chain cross direction.
