PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form a plurality of magnetic poles at very short intervals, in the peripheral surface of an object to be magnetized which has an endless peripheral surface. SOLUTION: A master magnet roll 2, in which a plurality of magnetic poles are magnetized near its peripheral surface, is supported by a supporting frame 3 in such a way that the roll 2 can be rotated around its axial line, and an object 1 is arranged so that its endless peripheral surface comes into contact or approach close to the peripheral surface of the roll 2. Then the peripheral surface of the object 1 is magnetized with the magnetic field formed of the magnetic poles of the roll 2 by rotationally driving the roll 2 and object 1 by means of a motor 4, so that the facing peripheral surfaces of the roll 2 and object 1 moves in the same direction. The peripheral velocities of the roll 2 and object 1 may be made equal to or different from each other. In addition, the diameter of the object 1 may be made equal to or different from that of the roll 2. |
