The chain pulley, with an electromotor drive, has a gearing with a flat mounting surface with the drive motor on one side and the sprocket wheel housing (6) on the other side. The chain of the pulley is suspended wholly on the sprocket wheel housing, with at least one strap at its upper side (83) with two one-piece mounting points (122,123). A hook, and the like, is mounted to the strap. The mounting can be fitted as a cover at the sprocket wheel housing according to the pulley configuration with a single or double chain. The mounting points are pressed tightly together to distribute the load between the mounting points and also to use the space between the sprocket wheel housing and the motor for the hook material.
