POLYMERS, PROCESS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION AND POLYURETHANE DERIVABLE FROM THESE POLYMERS

Pourable polymers having desirable properties are obtained by co-polymerising (a) a lactone or corresponding aliphatic hydroxyacid, (b) cyclic dimeric ester of an alpha -hydroxyacid or the corresponding alpha -hydroxyacid, in which the mole ratio of (a) to (b) is greater than 1.5:1 and their viscosity is less than 2000cps. The polymers can further be reacted with isocyanates to form polyurethanes having desirable properties.
