<p>The invention concerns a prosthesis (1), of the type commonly called stent, comprising a series of mutually linked tubular segments (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d), having an expandable structure formed by a succession of loops (5). The invention is characterised in that the stent (1) comprises: a flexible side member (2) whereto each segment (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) is linked by the ends of its structure; at least four segments (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d), whereof the bends (5a) of the loops (5) of the two central segments (3b, 3c) are axially offset, such that there is a space (8) between said segments (3b, 3c); at least a bridge (4) linking each lateral segment (3a, 3d) of said series of four segments (3a, 3b, 3c 3d) to said adjacent central segment (3b, 3c), each bridge (4) being so shaped as to cause the central segments (3b, 3c) to pivot for reducing the space (8).</p> |
