The coin-operated games machine contains a symbol game device, a coin tester followed by individual coin collection containers, a banknote tester, a banknote collection container and a central controller. One coin collection container is a hopper (19) with a coin output device (20) controlled via the control unit (5) by the banknote tester (16). The banknote tester can be selected via key control to operate as a banknote changer using the hopper or to activate the symbol game device (1).
