Degradation of the reception quality and reduction in the number of terminal s accommodated are prevented even if signal components are received as an interference at different demodulating timings thereof by distortion of the transmission line. A mobile station receiving method is for a downstream lin e of a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) cellular system in which a base station spreads the spectrum of a transmission signal to be transmitted to mobile stations by means of mutually orthogonal spreading codes, and superposes and transmits the spread-spectrum transmission signals synchronously, and the mobile stations receive the transmitted signals subjected to transmission line distortion as a result that the transmitted signals have passed through radio transmission lines of different delay time s. In the method, the signals transmitted and subjected to the distortion are equalized and demodulated by using a filter having characteristics opposite to those of the radio transmission lines.
|
