PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering pipe which can hold a heat-insulating ability and the like and an adaptability for a size of a pipe to be covered therewith so as to simplify the covering of the pipe. SOLUTION: A covering pipe 1 defines a thick part 15 between the inner surface 12 having an inner peripheral circle 11, and the outer surface 14 having an outer peripheral circle 13, and the thick part 15 is cut in the lengthwise direction of the pipe 1 so as to have a cut surface 16. The cut line 17 of the cut surface 16 is set in a range including the tangential line 171 and defined between a line 172 having a predetermined angle up to about 60 deg., from the tangential line 171 in a direction opposite to the inner peripheral circle 11, and a curved line 173 revolving around the inner peripheral circle 11. Accordingly, even though the size of a pipe 2 to be covered is different from that of the inner peripheral circle 11, the thick part is bent so as to be laid along the pipe to be covered, and tangential line part is bonded, thereby it is possible to simply manufacture a pipe-like heat insulating member having a high insulating ability.
