The container closure or bottle cap (1) has an electronic circuit (10) which is activated upon breakage of the closure or bottle cap seal for providing an acoustic information signal relating to the container or bottle contents. The electronic circuit (10) has a battery-operated memory IC coupled to a driver stage and a sound transducer for reproduction of a stored information signal, the battery connection activated by breakage of the seal.
