The fragmentation warhead has pre-shaped fragments (2) which when the explosive charge (1) is detonated increase in length in their direction of motion. The fragments are made of a ductile material. They are dish-shaped, narrowing in the direction (4) away from the main charge. The fragments have their base on the main charge. There is a thin additional explosive charge on the main charge covering the outside of the fragments at the base.
