The shaped stone block, particularly a concrete compound block, comprises at least two opposing side walls with projections and cavities which engage in corresponding cavities and projections of adjacent blocks to provide stability. The projections and cavities are formed as inclined support surfaces (6-9), which connect a lower part of the block (2) with an upper part (1). The support surfaces run from an upper side contour (5) of the lower part inclinedly outwards and upwards and inclinedly inwards and upwards to a lower side contour (3) of the upper part (1).
