PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm which does not give so much incorrect information by uniting a gas alarm and a fire alarm and integrating and processing the signals of a gas sensor and a fire sensor. SOLUTION: This alarm contains a thermally sensitive sensor 11, a smoke sensor 13, a CO sensor 15 and a hydrocarbon sensor 17. An initial fire is discriminated when the thermally sensitive sensor detects heat that is equal to or more than threshold or when the smoke sensor detects smoke that is equal to or more than threshold, and an initial alarm is issued. A real fire is further discriminated when the CO sensor exceeds 1st threshold and, and a real alarm is issued. The initial alarm indicating the risk of fire breaking is issued to rouse the confirmation of the actual place involved, and when CO gas concentration further becomes higher than the 1st threshold in addition to this situation, the real alarm is issued, based on reliable information related to the fire occurrence.
