PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microlens array by which contrast is improved while making a screen bright and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method includes a first process to fill the recessed part 12 of a first master disk 10 having the recessed part 12 functioning as a groove partitioning plural areas with a light-shielding material 14, a second process by which a surface where the recessed part 12 of the first master disk 10 is formed is brought into close contact with the surface where the curved surface part 22 of a second master disk 20 having plural curved surface parts 22 is formed through a light transmissible layer precursory body 24, and a light transmissible layer 25 that is formed of the light transmissible layer precursory body 24 by the curved surface part 22 and possesses plural lenses 32 is formed and a light-shielding layer 16 is integrally formed of the light-shielding material 14 with the light transmissible layer 25, and a third process to peel the first and the second master disks 10 and 20 from the light transmissible layer 25.
