A drive extender (10) for a supercharger (12). The drive extender (10) has a tubular drive shaft (24) with a proximal end (26) and a distal end (28) and a separate coupler portion (30) affixed to the proximal end (26). The coupler (30) is for detachable engagement with a drive gear shaft (36) of the supercharger (12). A pulley interface portion (38) is press fitted or otherwise attached to the distal end (28) of the drive shaft (24). A supercharger engaging flange (56) is provided for engagement with a face (62) of the supercharger (12). A tubular sleeve (54) with a proximal end (54a) and a distal end (54b) is provided, with the proximal end (54a) affixed to a supercharger engaging flange (56) and extending perpendicular thereto. A bearing enclosure portion (42) containing bearings (44 and 46) and having a bearing enclosure flange portion (40) is provided. The distal end (54b) of the tubular sleeve (54) is affixed to the bearing enclosure flange portion (42), and a pulley interface portion (38) is rotatably held in alignment by the bearing (44 and 46), and the pulley interface portion (38), the drive shaft (24), and coupler (30) are retained in axial alignment with the drive gear shaft (36) of the supercharger (12).
