The invention concerns the field of public works and particularly road works. More particularly, it concerns an apparatus for maintaining, mending and restoring roads by depositing and refilling with a substantially pasty and quick-setting product. Said apparatus comprises, besides means for moving (7) along the road, a reservoir (6) of refilling product, a hopper (1) for vertically pouring the product, a conveyor (4) transporting said product between the reserve and the hopper which is itself capable of being angularly displaced along a horizontal plane, means for controlling the hopper displacement and manoeuvring it, means for levelling the deposited product. The invention is characterised in that the hopper is provided at its base with a closure element (2a, 2b) capable of closing the cross-section of the hopper forming its pouring opening (3) and the hopper is mounted integral with a rear tailgate cylinder (23) bearing the hopper and projecting on either side thereof, the cylinder capable of being supported at least on one side on a portion of the road in good condition thereby defining the upper refilling reference, the hopper being borne at the end of an arm capable of being lifted (5) via articulated structures (8, 10) enabling lateral translation, pendular tilting and pivoting movements of the hopper along a vertical axis. The invention is useful for mending roads which are regularly damaged.
