Process to sterilize telecommunications equipment by gamma radiation such as telephones following maintenance and repair

In a system to disinfect telecommunications equipment especially telephones following maintenance, the equipment is exposed to gamma radiation. The telephones are placed in a chamber with a gate (4), side-walls (3), a cover (2) and base (3) where they are exposed to gamma radiation from a gamma radiation source (27). During their exposure to radiation, the telephones are placed in trays which move and rotate during the irradiation operation.
