<p>The present invention relates to a label containing a substrate layer, and a security coating on at least one side of the substrate layer containing: from about 50 % to about 99.999 % by weight of a film forming material, and from about 0.001 % to about 5 % by weight of at least one taggant compound, wherein the taggant is substantially uniformly dispersed within the film forming material. The invention further relates to a method of making the label, and to a method of authenticating a product to which the label is affixed.</p> |
