FIELD: physics, geophysics, detection of current-conducting and ferromagnetic objects with use of coils forming alternating magnetic field. SUBSTANCE: given metal detector has reference and retunable oscillators and indication unit. Retunable oscillator includes feedback amplifier, transmitting coil and feedback circuit connected to its output. It is also equipped with receiving coil and adder whose inputs are connected to output of receiving coil and output of feedback circuit and whose output is linked to input of feedback amplifier. EFFECT: increased sensitivity of metal detector. 2 dwg
