<p>Liquid fuel containing water and solid impurities is introduced at 5 under a horizontal baffle 16, Fig. 1, (not shown), which permits heavy particles and water to sink to the tank bottom. A further horizontal baffle 17 prevents impurities from rising to the top of the tank. The fuel emerging through openings 16a in baffle 16 passes inwards through concentric cylinders of pleated paper secured, with rigid perforate casings 9a-9c, to the cover 2, and emerges at 6; a draincock 19 for drawing off accumulated water is also provided.</p> |
