The rail travel drive is a hydraulic motor (28,29), driven from the vehicle (1) engine via a hydraulic pump (8). The equipment for rail (34, 35) and road (32, 33) travel is raisable. The rail travel equipment is fitted with a brake. The vehicle has a front driver cab (3), behind which is a crew cabin (4). Behind the crew cabin is an apparatus chamber (5) provided with closure doors. The vehicle has a lorry front axle (6) and a driven lorry rear axle (7). Drive is by means of an engine (10) in the front area fitted on the sub-structure. The engine drives the rear axle (7) by means of a gear (11) and a link shaft (9). The hydraulic pump for the rail drive motor is driven by its own gear (12), which is connected in the link train between the gear (11) and the link shaft (9).
